Methodology

Our story.

Discover our methodology.

In 2016, frustrated by the inaccuracy of the marketing we saw being applied (even by the largest and most prestigious agencies), and at the same time amazed by the incredible possibilities digital marketing offered (capabilities beyond what the direct-response marketing of the '60s and '70s could ever have dreamed of), we did what any anarchist geek would have done: develop our own model.

The "Lean" philosophy had left the production lines and was being applied in interesting and creative ways in other contexts (such as startups).

In a burst of inspiration we developed a Lean Framework for Marketing (both online and offline); in it, in an astonishingly simple way, every small element in the persuasion process was coherently structured and measured with its KPI... and all under one KPI to govern them all: the Healthy Customer Acquisition Cost (HCAC).

The Lean Marketing framework raised a few eyebrows and received enthusiastic comments about its audacity and innovation... but was, in general, Olympically ignored. We decided to keep the name, however.

Also the spirit of testing and measuring everything in an agile way. Measure and validate. Iterate and pivot. Every element earns and validates its place.

Years later, still passionate about digital transformation, we developed highly specialized services to help companies in their transformation process. What a great adventure.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

In most cases the problem isn't the people or the campaigns: it's that marketing and sales operate as two separate teams, with different metrics and different versions of what a successful result is. Without a system that connects both areas and measures the whole process, effort is scattered and the numbers don't add up. The solution isn't more activity or changing agencies — it's building the system that aligns both teams in a single commercial direction.

The Healthy Customer Acquisition Cost (HCAC) is the maximum amount a company can invest to win a new customer without compromising its profitability. It's not only how much it costs to acquire a customer — it's how much it can cost while keeping the business healthy. When marketing operates within the HCAC, every dollar invested in acquisition generates a real return. When it exceeds it, the company can grow and lose margin at the same time. The HCAC is the master KPI that turns marketing into a precise financial decision, not a bet.

Effective marketing and sales integration requires three elements: a shared strategy that defines who the real customer is and how they make decisions; clear roles and activities for each team at each phase of the commercial journey; and shared KPIs that measure the whole system, not isolated metrics per area. Without these three elements, both teams optimize in different directions even though they work at the same company.

The first indicator is the acquisition cost: how much is being paid for each new customer. If that number exceeds the value the customer represents for the business, marketing is draining resources even if the reach metrics look good. The second indicator is the conversion rate at each stage of the funnel: how many prospects move from one stage to the next. A funnel with drop-offs at specific stages points exactly to where the real problem is.
